You may terminate your Soracom account at any time from the User Console. Click the Account menu containing the account email address at the top right of the User Console, and select Terminate account.
Please note: By terminating your Soracom account, all information associated with your account will be permanently deleted. This operation cannot be undone. You can always sign up again in the future, however you will be required to start all device and settings configuration from the beginning.
Please note: In order to terminate your Soracom account, all Air SIMs, Sigfox/LoRa devices, and VPGs associated with your account must be terminated first.
If you still have Air SIMs or VPGs in your account, please terminate them using the steps below before terminating your account. You will also need to terminate any resources associated with each Air SIM or VPG.
How to terminate an Air SIM:
- Login to the User Console.
- Make sure you are on the Global console page.
- Click the check box next to each Air SIM you want to terminate.
- Click the Actions menu, and select Terminate.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. If termination protection is enabled, you will be asked to disable it. Then click the Terminate button to complete the termination.
How to terminate a VPG:
- Login to the User Console.
- Click the Menu button at the top left of the User Console, and select VPG.
- Click the VPG that you want to terminate to open its details page.
- Click the Advanced settings tab.
- Click the Terminate section at the bottom of the tab, then click the Terminate button.
Important: When terminating any billable services (including Air SIM and VPG), the daily rate for each service will apply for the current month until its date of termination, and must be cleared in the following month. Your account will be closed after the final bill is paid and any outstanding balance is cleared.
If you have terminated all Air SIMs and VPGs but are still unable to terminate your Soracom account, please contact us. Our Support team, for security reasons, cannot terminate an account or SIM for you, but we can assist you in determining why you are unable to terminate the account on your own.
