If you have added a subscription to your existing Soracom Air SIM card with Subscription Container, and the status of the additional subscription does not change from "shipped", it is possible that the OTA (Over the Air) addition has not been completed successfully due to the following reasons:
- Device does not support subscription container functionality
- Devices must meet specific requirements in order to receive the subscription container updates.
- Must have SMS functionality (MO-SMS and MT-SMS)
- Must be compatible with SMS Toolkit (STK) commands
- The device must be compatible with the RAT (2G, 3G, LTE) and frequency bands for both the original "plan01s" or "plan-US" subscription as well as the additional subscription being added.
- Devices must meet specific requirements in order to receive the subscription container updates.
- Device is not receiving SMS
- The OTA process utilizes SMS to add the subscription to your existing SIM.
- Ensure that your device is ready to receive an SMS. If the device is busy sending and receiving other data, and does not have the ability to dual broadcast, then the device will need to be online and idle in order to receive the OTA.
