Soracom services are postpaid. This means you are billed for services after you use them. This article explains the billing cycle for monthly services and for product orders.
Billing Cycle for Services
Usage fees for all Soracom services are aggregated at the end of each calendar month. This includes data usage charges, connection fees, and fees for network and application services (such as VPG, Canal, Beam, Funnel, and Harvest).
Payment for the prior month's total usage is then processed at the beginning of the following month.
You can monitor your usage and view your charges in the Soracom User Console:
- Billing Dashboard: View an overview of charges for the last four months. Please note that it may take 12-24 hours for billing information to update.
- Monthly Invoices: Download a detailed summary of your monthly charges at the end of each month.
Billing for Product Orders
If you order physical products, such as SIM cards or devices, from Soracom, your registered credit card will be charged once your order ships.
Payment Processing
At the beginning of each month, a hold is placed on your registered credit card to process payment for the previous month's service fees.
If the transaction is successful, the payment status in the Bills tab of the User Console will update to Paid.
If Soracom is unable to process the payment, the system will automatically attempt to re-process the transaction after a few days. As the exact date the charge appears on your statement may vary, please contact your credit card issuer for more information.
Pricing Structure
Soracom's pricing is based on the services you use. All fees are aggregated into a single monthly bill. For a complete list of fees for all Soracom services, please refer to the Pricing & Fee Schedule.
Data charges are calculated based on your SIM card's plan:
- Pay-As-You-Go: Data prices for these plans vary by country. You can find the rates on the Supported Carriers page.
- Bundled Plans: These plans include a certain amount of data. Overage prices for data used beyond the bundle can be found in the Pricing & Fee Schedule.
