If you are seeing charges after canceling a SIM or service, it is likely due to the postpaid billing cycle or remaining active account-level services.
Postpaid Billing Cycle
Soracom services are postpaid. Usage charges are aggregated at the end of the month and billed at the beginning of the following month.
For example, if you cancel a SIM or service on March 10th, the usage fees incurred from March 1st to March 10th will be billed in April.
For more details on billing schedules, please refer to the Billing Overview.
Active Account Services
Canceling your SIM cards does not automatically cancel account-level services. Services such as Virtual Private Gateway (VPG), Soracom Lagoon, or Soracom Harvest Data Extended Retention continue to incur charges until they are manually disabled.
You must ensure these services are terminated separately to stop future billing. For instructions, please refer to the documentation on Canceling Services.
Checking Your Status
To verify your billing history and service status, review your Billing Overview in the User Console. You can also confirm that all services have been terminated by following the steps in the Canceling Services documentation.
