Important Information About Soracom Status Dashboard Updates
Please be aware of the following regarding the scope of information provided on the dashboard. Not all connectivity interruptions are reflected on the status page.
Carrier-Specific and Local Outages
Soracom relies on publicly disclosed operational information from individual carriers (including base stations and access equipment) and roaming intermediary providers.
- Local Outages: If you suspect a network outage in a specific city or region, this may not appear on the Soracom Status Dashboard immediately or at all, depending on the carrier's reporting.
- Verification: For inquiries regarding outages specific to a local carrier, please refer to that local network operator's official website directly for local outage reports.
What if I Don't See an Outage Listed?
If you observe issues on your devices that are not reflected on the dashboard, consider the following troubleshooting steps before assuming a platform-wide outage:
- Check Diagnostics: Use the Connectivity Diagnostics tool to automatically check a number of conditions and narrow down possible causes.
- Verify Status: Remember that the Online status in the console only refers to the subscription's data session status. A device may appear Online for up to four hours after being abruptly disconnected (e.g., power loss) because the network was not notified of the session end.
- Test the Device: As described in our Troubleshooting Guide, the most effective way to check for potential problems is to test the device directly or access the modem's serial interface to verify its connection status.
