Overview
There may be a discrepancy between the total amount shown on your Monthly Invoice and the sum of individual charges listed in the Detailed Billing CSV or User Console. This is typically due to how taxes and rounding are calculated.
Rounding Differences
Soracom calculates charges based on the minimum billing unit (e.g., 1 Yen or $0.01 USD).
- Data Usage: Charges are calculated per device.
- Rounding Adjustment: The total rounded charges for all devices are combined and appear on your invoice as a separate Rounded Up charge. Refer to the Billing Information documentation for details on billing items.
Tax Calculation
Taxes are calculated based on the aggregated total of service fees for your account, not on individual items.
- CSV Data: The Detailed Billing CSV includes raw charge amounts but does not include tax.
- Invoice: The invoice includes applicable taxes based on your Tax Location.
To reconcile your costs, use the Detailed Billing CSV to sum the amount column, then add the "Rounded Up" charge from your invoice and apply the relevant tax rate.
