If you encounter a "No such resource found" error message while attempting to register your Soracom IoT SIM, you are likely using the incorrect registration method for your specific purchase type.
Please identify where you purchased your SIM below and follow the corresponding steps.
If You Purchased Your IoT SIM from the User Console
SIM cards purchased directly through the Soracom User Console or Soracom Web Store are linked to your account's order history. For security reasons, each SIM in your order is pre-registered to your account.
Important: Manual SIM registration (entering ICCID/PUK) is not possible for orders placed through Soracom directly. You must use the "From Order" method.
Registration Steps:
- Log in to the User Console.
- Navigate to the SIM Management screen.
- Click the Register SIM button.
- Select the From Order tab.
- Select the appropriate order from the list to register the SIMs to your account.
Notes on Console Orders:
- Security Restriction: The ICCID and PUK (or IMSI and Passcode) values of a pre-registered SIM cannot be used to manually register the SIM to a different Soracom account.
- Batch Registration: SIMs purchased via the User Console cannot be registered individually; the entire order must be registered at once.
- Time Limit: You can register SIMs using the "From Order" feature for up to 18 months after the order date. If you attempt to register a SIM after this period, the order may no longer appear in the list.

If You Purchased Your IoT SIM from Amazon or Other Sources
If you purchased your SIM from Amazon.com, at an event, or through another partner (including device bundles), the SIM is not automatically linked to your account. You must register it manually using the information printed on the card.
Registration Steps:
- Log in to the User Console.
- Navigate to the SIM Management screen.
- Click the Register SIM button.
- Select the Direct Input tab.
- Enter the required credentials based on your SIM type:
- Global Coverage: Enter the ICCID and PUK.
- Japan Coverage: Ensure you have selected the Japan coverage type in the console, then enter the IMSI and Passcode.
- (Optional) You can give the SIM a name (e.g.,
Blues) and assign it to an existing group during this step. - Click Register.

Bulk Registration for IoT eSIMs
If you have purchased IoT embedded SIMs (eSIMs) in a reel from a store other than Soracom's, you can register them in bulk rather than entering them individually.
Registration Steps:
- Log in to the User Console.
- Navigate to the SIM Management screen.
- Click the Register SIM button.
- Enter the following information:
- The 19-digit First ICCID on the reel.
- The 19-digit Last ICCID on the reel.
- The 8-character Authentication Passcode.
