Check the following settings and configurations to locate a purchased SIM within the User Console.
1. Check the Coverage Type
Soracom IoT SIMs are categorized by Coverage Type (Global or Japan). You must select the coverage type that matches your purchased SIM to view it in the SIM Management list or order history.
If you are viewing the Japan coverage in the User Console but purchased a Global SIM (or vice versa), the SIM will not appear. Ensure the correct coverage type is selected in the top-right corner of the User Console navigation bar.
For more information, refer to the documentation on Coverage Types.
2. Register the SIM
Purchased IoT SIMs must be registered before they appear in the SIM Management list. The registration method depends on how the SIM was obtained.
Register from an Order
For SIMs purchased directly from the Soracom User Console or Soracom Web Store:
- Navigate to the Orders page in the User Console.
- Locate the order in the list.
- Click the Register button.
SIMs purchased directly from Soracom have an automatic registration period (14 days for Global coverage, 4 days for Japan coverage). After this period, you must register them manually from the Orders page.
Register Manually
For SIMs purchased from a third-party retailer, or eSIMs bundled with a device, use the Direct Input method:
- Navigate to the SIM Management page in the User Console.
- Click the Register SIM button and select the Direct Input tab.
- Enter the required identifiers:
- Global coverage SIMs: ICCID and PUK (printed on the SIM card or packaging)
- Japan coverage SIMs: IMSI and Passcode (printed on the reverse side of the SIM card)
SIMs purchased directly from Soracom cannot be registered using Direct Input.
For more details on all registration methods, refer to the documentation on Registering an IoT SIM.
3. Check Display Limits and Pagination
The User Console displays a limited number of SIMs per page by default (usually 10). If you have a large number of SIMs, the newly purchased SIM may be located on a subsequent page.
You can increase the number of items displayed per page or navigate to the next page using the pagination controls at the bottom of the list.
4. Clear Search Filters
If active search filters are applied to the SIM Management list (such as filtering by Status, Tag, or IMSI), the new SIM might be hidden from view.
Ensure that all search filters are cleared so that all SIMs are displayed.
If you have checked the points above and the SIM is still not displayed, please fill in the details below and submit a support request:
- The ICCID printed on the back of the SIM card
- The Order ID (can be confirmed from the order history)
