Yes. Soracom provides two options for enabling device-to-device communication:
- Public Gate: A free service that enables device-to-device communication using IP addresses. Warning: Connectivity is shared among all IoT SIMs attached to Public Gate, including those from other operators. You must secure your devices (e.g., change default passwords, disable unnecessary services) and should only use this service for testing or non-sensitive data.
- Soracom Gate: An advanced service that runs on a Virtual Private Gateway (VPG). In addition to implicitly secure device-to-device communication isolated within your own VPG, it supports remote device access and private networking. Please note that using a VPG incurs additional usage fees.
