Monitoring IoT SIM Data Usage
Yes, Soracom provides multiple methods to monitor upload and download traffic, ranging from visual dashboards in the User Console to programmatic access via API.
Viewing Usage in the User Console
To view a visual breakdown of activity for a specific SIM:
- Log in to the Soracom User Console.
- From the top-left menu, select SIM Management.
- Locate the SIM you wish to inspect, check the box next to it, and click the Details button.
- Select the Historical charts tab to view the Monthly cumulative total and Data usage graphs.
Downloading Usage History
You can also download a CSV containing the data usage history (by month or by day) of each SIM in your account.
- Log in to the User Console.
- From the top-left menu, under the Logs & Statistics header, select Service usage history.
- In the Air (Data Usage History) row, select your desired time frame for usage history, then click the Download button.

Account-Wide and Programmatic Monitoring
If you require a broader overview or need to integrate data into your own systems, consider the following options:
- Usage Statistics: You can view a high-level summary of consumption across your entire account through the Usage Statistics page.
- Soracom API/CLI: For automated monitoring or integration into custom dashboards, you can retrieve usage metrics programmatically using the Stats endpoints.
