In terms of functionality, there is no difference between IoT SIMs purchased from a distributor and those purchased directly from the Soracom User Console. The key differences are in the registration process and the initial configuration options available.
IoT SIMs Purchased from the User Console
IoT SIMs purchased directly from the User Console are automatically linked to your account. To register them, simply access the Orders section and click the Register Order button next to your order. This will register all SIMs from that order to your account at once.
Additionally, this method allows you to configure initial settings (such as Group, Speed Class, and Tags) for all SIMs in the order before completing the registration. This makes the process quicker and more efficient, especially when purchasing a large number of SIMs.

IoT SIMs Purchased from Distributors
When you purchase IoT SIMs from a distributor, they are not linked to your account. You must register each IoT SIM individually to your account using the Register SIM button on the User Console.
